We've chosen to use the "point buy" system in determing our character's ability scores, a method explained in the video linked below:
(5th Edition D&D) - How To Use Point Buy
We are playing Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition (5e), but homebrew features are allowed (even encouraged!) as long as the Tavern Masters approve them. Homebrew features are ways that players and TMs can "bend the rules" past what is officially covered in the D&D handbooks, such as unofficial races and/or classes, or additional abilities that tie into your character's backstory. Make sure you email us for any questions!
Coordinating on the Tavern's Discord channel is how a session is organized. Once the session date, time, location is somewhat solidified, we will post and event on the Events page of this website that you can RSVP to.
The event will usually only have enough tickets to fill a party of six, occasionally 7 or eight under special circumstances. For example, If four players coordinate with a Tavern Master (TM) on Discord and establish a time for a session, those four players are automatically RSVP'd to the session. We would then post the event on our site with two open slots to fill out the party to six.
With multiple TMs we can run multiple session a week, so don't feel as though missing a session means your character is out of commission. Stick to Discord and watch the website; chances are an event that you can participate in will pop up soon.
